The gift of curiosity
Impressions from Le mille e una scienza 2025 festival
Students and researchers captivated their audience with complex topics such as social inequalities and the challenges of multilingualism as well as sharing engaging explanations of how glacier retreat is being researched and what developments are on the horizon. Children and adults alike lined up to look through microscopes and virtual reality glasses and listen to explanations about the starch content of grains in fossilized tartar and high-altitude training for emergency services. For the participating researchers, the day was a success in every respect, one that they will take with them into their everyday working lives, because curiosity is the driving force behind science and a starting point for new intellectual endeavors and adventures.
